We offer book printing of paperbacks (softbacks), hardbacks, journals and saddle stitched booklets. Our digitally printed books and journals can be either:

· Black and white text only
· Black and white with line drawings and/or photographs
· Colour throughout or a mixture of both*

*If you have just a few colour pages in your book then we will only charge those particular pages at a colour rate with the rest being charged at a black and white rate. Some book printers will charge the entire book at a colour rate even if it only has a small amount of colour in it.

If you need a printed book proof just to make sure that everything is looking as you would want it to before proceeding with the main print run then that is not a problem and we aim to produce these within 2 working days.

Book sizes we produce

We print books in all UK and US trim sizes ranging from A6 (148mm x 105mm) up to A4 plus (320mm x 320mm). If your book is a non-standard size then that is fine, we do not insist that you stick to a fixed book size, just indicate this on our estimate request form.

The minimum width that we can bind with a spine is 2mm (40 pages*) for a paperback and 6mm (100 pages*) for a hardback. The maximum is 65mm (1000 pages*). * depends on the paper chosen.

Wide range of paper stocks

We can print on a wide range of substrates. Our stock papers include:

  • Offsets from 80gsm up to 120gsm
  • White 80gsm and Cream 70gsm Bookwove
  • Silk and gloss art papers from 115gsm up to 170gsm

Covers are available in 230, 300 and 350gsm boards.

Book binding options

Binding includes perfect or PUR for paperbacks, perfect or sewn for hardbacks, saddle-stitched for booklets, Wiro-bound with a range of coloured metals, or half or full Canadian binding. Our hardbacks have square backs and can have printed paper cases (PPCs), loose dust jackets or Wibalin Buckram or faux leather cloths only with foil blocking plus extras including ribbon markers and head and tail bands.
